Tour Description
Your experience begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel in Ljubljana, followed by a short transfer to Šmartno pod Šmarno goro, the starting point of the hike.
From here, a guided walk of approximately one hour leads through shaded woodland paths toward the summit of Šmarna Gora. Along the way, your guide shares fascinating insights — from stories of Ottoman incursions in the 15th century to the legend of the church bell that rings earlier than others across the valley.
At the top, enjoy panoramic views stretching across a large portion of Slovenia before settling into a traditional mountain restaurant for lunch featuring regional dishes and local flavours.
After the meal, descend back to the valley on a moderate one-hour walk and return comfortably to Ljubljana.
